The Q&A on this Product

QUESTION: I plan on putting them on a 2002 Harley Davidson Road King classic. I will require 1 three footer and 3 two footers. I will be reinstalling the stock chrome heat shields, they are held on with steel band screw clamps. Can I cut them to lenght? Do you see any problems with my plan? Thanks, Buddy

ANSWER: We would not reccomend cutting the heat shield. Ourchasing the correct size is much better. Or, you may want to use a wrap. As long as your mounts for the stock shield has enough room to mount over either the wrap or the pipe shield you should be fine. You will find that this solution will cut down from heat in that area significantly.
